Ok I misread. I thought it said 750. Still tho 705 would mean engine is still underrated by quite a bit. Definitely more than a Redeye. And I doubt the DCT is responsible.

I would think so, probably that mixed with 4th not being a true 1:1 ratio and maybe perhaps a few percents of underrating from Ford, though I doub that last part.

I've seen manual zr1s dyno in the 680s so 10 to 15 more hp from the gt500 seems reasonable and legit. After all it is rated at 5hp more.

I guess when more sae numbers come out we'll have a better picture.

700whp on a stock car!

I could see around 780-800hp on a good day. 900hp stock....not happening

Why people weigh there cars empty is beyond me. Now everyone is going to say the gt500 is less then 4100lbs. All companies give curb weight which is full of all fluids. Now some are saying this will put the track gt500 below 4000. I guess they will all drive around with empty tanks.

this was at TVR in Nobles, OK back on 2007. She was about 130 @ 5'11". I was 6' about 190 at the time. I could not get the Nittos to hook but we mostly went on TnT Friday nights with no prep. I miss that car. 2004 Mustang GT with every mod available except FI.Here is a youtube video after the VT Stage II Cams install.

Apparently 705hp STD hp to the rear. Didn't see/hear a torque number. Spicy
Forget the internet hp number, the SAE was 686. Must mention that bump at the end is suspect, would like to see a proper run done (until either curve falling off or rpm limit reached) so the data is cleaner. Also plotting should be vs rpm, not vs mph.

With a full load of fuel (96 pounds ) it's a 4200 pound car.

This is the number that matters, much more in line with manual zr1's but more than auto zr1's. Still very good stock car hp number. Only second to the redeye/demons I imagine.

I called a dealership and got a quote for a Base GT500. MSRP was $79K and they wanted a $20K markup. So the final price was $99K. I laughed. Thing is this dealership is all the way out in Illinois. That was the closest one I could find. Let's say I tried to talk them down, somebody somewhere will probably go ahead and purchase it for $5K or $10K or more over MSRP. And I refuse to pay 1 cent more than MSRP. And even if I do find another one there is no telling what the markups will be on that one. Plus it's not like I get to pick and choose the options I would want. So I'd be stuck with a car costing well over $70K which I won't even be able to choose my own options. Meanwhile I can go buy a ZL1, C7 Z06, C8, Hellcat, Redeye, etc exactly how I want and even get a discount. And they are available. So I'll say it again, no matter how great this car is, or how great people think it is, none of that matters if normal people can't acquire one. And these cars are next to impossible to acquire.

Funny thing is, why would I pay $99K, $20K of which is ADM, for a $79K car when I can just go and buy a car that is actually worth $99K? LOL!! Makes no sense why anyone would do that. At $99K I am not driving home in a Base GT500. It's gonna be a M5 or a z06 or a used C7 ZR1 or a Trackhawk with a few thousand leftover.

So let me get this straight. The hype meter on the GT500 is in full swing and you're looking for an MSRP deal? You're a smart one... I've said it many times already. Those that HAVE to have it NOW will pay stupid money NOW. Just like the 350R when it came out. But the patient buyers (like me who got the R under MSRP) will get the GT500 at MSRP inside of a year. Some really lucky buyers will find unicorn deals too.
