2017 Camaro SS Shifter Knob

I dont know who at GM came up with the idea of the current shifter knob on the manual SS Camaro's but I have to say its about as ugly as ive ever seen. Looks straight out of a Kia or Toyota.

I want to replace mine with a simple white round knob with the shift pattern in black on top and "SS" in black on the sides.

Does anyone know of any companies besides SpeedDawg?, They quoted me $100 just for that shifter knob.

I think thats way over priced so if anyone has any suggestions please let me know.

Full 1LE suspension, with BMR adjustable sway bars and links, GM aluminum cradle bushings, Hurst shifter with lighter reverse spring, TWM shifter knob, Tick level 1 transmission. I should have bought a ZL1

I see I'm not the only one who isn't a fan of the knob. Would like to see it changed for the better with the 19 refresh.

I was not a fan of the stock knob either. Replaced it with one from Raceseng (and love it) but it isn't round and you will definately balk at the price as it is well over $100..

Problem is with a ball type knob is you need the adapter that adds like $40 some. There are other options but largely going to cost roughly the same

Yeah ive been checking them out. Not too many options out there it looks like. Speed dawg may the only alternative, but damn $100 for a shifter knob but may be worth it to get rid of this crappy looking that GM gave us.

The $100 Speed Dawg knob is looking better and better, but damn I must be getting pretty old when I complain to spend $100 for one

Does anyone have a Speed Dawg knob installed so I can see how it looks installed?

I think factory was slip fit with set screw. Hurst has threaded post for knob 9/16-18 if I remember. Speed Dawg is good, but for more custom options check out EPCO shift knobs, they can make it custom. http://www.epcoshiftknobs.com/ I got a black with SS embed, all are brass threaded insert, good quality.

Damn that looks sweet. How did you remove the old knob? Does it just screw off?

Im look at epco now, what size is your shifter knob, they have 2 1/2 and 3, I was thinking 3 inch.
