2019 10 speed , will it be quicker ?
Like the title says , I’m wondering if we’re expecting better times out the new 10 speed auto as we’ve seen with the mustang.
The front has started growing on me when I saw pictures of a gray and white car, those taillights will take some getting used to. |

If there is a difference in acceleration performance (compared to the 8A), I don't think GM has advertised it.

???
Are you kidding If the A10 for the ss is the same as it is on Zl1, you bet it’s a hell of a trans! Got a 2ss fifty A8 And now a ZL1 A10 Trans are completely different, A10 is way above A8 Switching super fast under charge... Elsd and diff are better.... So for sure it will be better! |

ZL1 doesn't have an A8 car to compare to though.
The A10 SS will be the first true apples to apples comparison for the A10 vs A8 debate. |

I think the question should be "is A10 going to be more reliable than A8?"
I read too many people have been having A8 Shudder issue that wouldn't go away even with triple flush andTC replacement. |

Just experienced this today for the first time with 20,500 on the odometer. Not a happy camper. Got to love how these problems also don’t have a true fix even though it affects many models.

So far the SS A10 has been similar to the A8 in my 16 SS, but I'm still in break in so I imagine when I do my first full throttle pull the A10 will truley shine. Btw, the SS looks so much different in person, and everyone at the dealership said it looks a lot better than the pictures. Their comments seemed genuine, but they may have just been trying to be nice because I'm a customer. I think it is drop dead gorgeous.

If it performs anything like it does in the Stang it will gain at least 1-2 tenths of a second in 0-60MPh and maybe more in 1320.
I'll take this A10 all day over the A8. |

If you're going to be at any car shows/Cars & Coffee or just want to meet somewhere let me know, I would love to know what another 6th gen owner thinks of the refresh in person.

Not sure if you’re trolling or not. This isn’t an equal comparison. The ZL1 has many mechanical upgrades, not just the supercharger, over the SS and that’s before we get to the A8 and A10. Like the previous poster said the best apples to apples comparison we have for the SS is now the 16-18 A8 and the 19 A10.
