Best price on a 1SS 1LE (SoCal)

Just wondering what's the best price people have gotten for a 1SS 1LE.....preferably on the west coast? Buying out of state with the cost of shipping pretty much negates any real savings.

Cars always cost more out here in San Diego. I'm trying to get an 1SS 1LE (the less options the better) for $40K before tax, tags, license. Talking to some dealers now.

I am in the Bay Area and my last two cars (M3 and SS 1LE) I have bought in the So. Cal. area. Long Beach and some of the outskirt dealerships have some good pricing.

I saved thousands both times.

Yes I know about Harbor Chevy in Long Beach. They have good prices. Ok, so I've found a lot of 1LE's at a dealer locally. All of them are just under $5K off. So $40,539 for 1SS 1LE is the lowest I've found, which is pretty good for around here. Called and verified the price. Yeah you have to finance with GM. But after a month you can refi that crappy rate or pay it off.

Yup, but be careful, I was told it's 3 months... you have to make 3 payments before you can refi or face a penalty.

I got my 1SS 1LE w/o any other options for $39.5k in CO.

Yes, but the early payoff penalty is usually like $75. And that's probably less interest than if I kept the loan for 3 months since car loans front load the interest.

That's a great price. But also very hard to come by in San Diego. The ones I'm looking at for $1K more have just cargo net, wheel locks, cargo mat ($300).

Gotcha... yeah at 6.99% a $75 fee would be less than 3 months at about half that rate. I bet it's more but I'll check into it, thanks.

Could be more. That's what the finance person told me VW's fee was when I had to finance with them to get additional cash back on my Golf. Paid off the loan after 1 month and only got charged like $40 interest anyway.
