Windshield Wiper Issue

2016 SS. When rotating the stalk to turn on the wipers it doesn’t work. If I press down on the stalk to do one swipe it does work. I checked the fuses and they look good. Any ideas? Thanks!

Do they work when you push the stalk up a second or third time past the intermittent setting.

If fuse F12 in the underhood fuse box is good, I'd wager that your wiper speed control relay (as opposed to the wiper relay) may have failed, and as far as I see from a couple of sources, this is not user serviceable, because these two relays are soldered to the fuse panel circuit. Unless you're a mechanic or willing to work on the soldered relays, I'd take it in.

My son’s last job was micro miniature repair. Can you give me a few more details and I’ll ask him. THANKS!!!

Haven't done this myself, but I copied the relevant pages, including the schematics, from my service manual for you and uploaded them to https://www.dropbox.com/sh/9m8rrzw4m...xxOGTLyba?dl=0.

If you prefer to download them in a single zip file rather than viewing on the website, use this link instead: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/9m8rrzw4m...xxOGTLyba?dl=1

The diagnostic procedure calls for the replacement of the entire fuse block for certain outcomes and the body control module for others, which is why I still suggest that you take it in and let the service department handle the messy bits. That said, in case your son wants to tinker with it, the relays in question are KR12C and KR12B, and of course the procedure describes other possible workarounds and fixes as well.

Hope this helps, I'm not an expert, so this is pretty much all I can do

Do you know the part number of the part with the relays on it?
Thanks!
