Also, then one will have a completely unbiased, ie; non-paid, representation of the plugs, yes?
Having those types of plugs around for well over 50yrs.......
Don't you think by NOW if they gave ANY improvement in MPG or power they would be in the new cars from the factory?
We all know the car companys today look for ANY improvement even if it was 1/00 th. of a MPG

No. If that was the case, we wouldn't need tuners, CAI or aftermarket support at all for any car. The factory would have them tuned and perfect when they hit the showroom. Wouldn't they? They know how we want the cars, so why not build them that way and not have the need for FLowmaster, MRT, NGK, Borla, SuperChip, BullyDog, and Diablo.

Truth is, they can't. The goverment won't let them for the most part, and good business won't for the rest. Although good business and the Big Three car guys shouldn't/don't really belong in the same sentence, lol.

I'll stick with my NGK's, I've heard on some occasions that the plugs get so hot that they actually melt and come apart due to the spark that it let's out (well I guess it's not really a spark more like a torch) :/

Truth is MOST people DO NOT want the stuff you said, you or I might want it But maybe 80%-90% DON"T.

...They would not put CAI's on because They are noisy & do not filter as good as the stock ones. That's just a fact.

As for Exhaust they are TOO loud, MOST people don't want loud less restrictive Exhaust or Intake like we do.

BUT we were talking about spark plugs And there is NO reason at all they couldn't put them in.....Except they don't help anything.

BOTTOM LINE: My point was in case you did not know; those plugs are nothing NEW......I am NOT telling you you should not try them I was just stating some facts.
BTW I have wasted some $ in my past on plugs like those.:(

I get what you are saying, but I still say there is more to it. Even going so far as to say suppliers with the lowest bid wins. Contracts to buy parts from a specific vendor. There are reasons.

Now, I will say this. I'm interested in the plugs and the reviews I've read. For $40, and a day at the dyno with new headers, I don't think I'll be out much to try. If they work, we'll know. If they don't, we'll know that too. At least on a dyno.

i'm going to call a friend tomorrow and see what he has to say. Not doubting anyone here, but as previously mentioned in a different thread, IIRC lol, he has built motors waaaaaaay beyond the horsepower potential of our v6 or v8s. He has yet to steer me wrong.

I think this thread is a good example of the "spirited" debate we can have about something rather mundane like spark plugs. I started this thread seeking any experience with the E3s, which, like Pulsars, have varied opinions elsewhere on the web. I appreciate mrray13's willingness to try them and let us know if there is any difference and others voicing your opinions.

Thanks all...

And keep it completely civil. Nothing more fun then having a spirited debate, and not resort to name calling or some other lowlife crap.

I'm waiting on the headers, will try to toss in the plugs (waiting on Troy to call me back), and do a few dyno pulls in the next week or two.

Looks like this thread died back in December, and I'm wondering about the E3 Plugs now. Anyone tried them out yet?

Yep, did it myself. Just get the anti-seize and it is a simple twist off the electronic caps (purple/black color). Bring out the old plugs, drop the new plugs into the tube and then twist to 18lbs.
