I can see that it may run leaner and more efficient, but won't this run hotter? I imagine the extra fuel may be needed to cool off the heads.

Also leaning past stock or some ratio near it can pull timing to protect the engine with 11.3/1 cr? Why airaid cai had problems, to lean and had to redesign to keep close to stock AF.Maybe on exhaust side is o.k.?

Not sure on either account... but I do know that the cooling system in modern cars is very efficient. Also, if your ECM detects a 'too lean' condition, it will throw off a CEL, like if the base tune is more than 20% too rich or too lean, it'll throw the check engine light. So if you have no light, I don't think there are any ill effects, as far as the ECM is concerned. The engine is just a glorified air pump, and you just made it a bit more efficient at exhaling, that's all.

I helped on the exhale with the Hi-Flo cats and inhale with the Roto-Fab CAI.
