Nah, glad they ran the A10. That is what we all wanted. A10 vs DCT, ZLE VS CFTP

I'm more excited all 3 are in the same place at the same time. The 1/4 mile results weren't really shocking on a cold surface with road course tires...and for the way the ZLE and GT500 CFTP are optioned, I don't think we really cared that the obvious power to weight car with a DCT won - can't wait for those lap times!

Funny, I just got my F-150 oil change done at my Ford dealer tonight. They have a base GT500 incoming and they want 25k ADM. It’s hard not to talk price when Ford dealers are crazy over their Shelbys/past specialized cars.

A 75 - 95k GT500/GT500 CFTP vs 60 - 70k ZL1/ZL1 1LE is one conversation. 100k - 140k GT500/GT500 CFTP vs 60 -70k ZL1/ZL1 1LE is an entirely different one. Sure wait until they are irrelevant like the GT350R is vs it’s competitors performance wise, but you can now get them under MSRP. If that is what you want, patience worked out I guess. |

1. I don't buy first year cars, ever. 2. never paid ADM and never will. I much rather buy a used car with low miles, my last NEW car was in 2013 and it's going to stay that way I agree the ZL1 being a great price for the car, that's pretty obvious and yea there is obviously a price difference but does it have to be beaten to the ground like it is in this thread. The way it's talk about you would think people JUST found out what the GT500 costs. Compare the cars and accept the results, they are just cars! You have people in this thread that have never been to a road course talking about racing on tracks... Makes me think of when people bring up the nerdburgring as if they are EVER GOING TO GO THERE!! lol You know what I like? "WHAT DOES YOUR CAR RUN??" that's it... it's all great quoting magazines from sofa's behind computers but it gets corny fast in real life. |

I'd still like to see base zl1 vs base gt500, since the base zl1 is quicker apparently in a10 form and the base gt500 has been slower than the cftp in street testing it might be close at 11.5 or so with the gt500 probably trapping 5mph more.

Funny you pull the magazine racer line the M6G guys love to say, but don’t have a ZL1/ZLE or GT500 (unless your car list isn’t up to date) so all you can do is quote magazine times as well from your sofa/computer. Just because you don’t buy new doesn’t make the current market prices of the cars being discussed and their price to performance dollar a non topic. You do the same thing just in the used market. |
