As for the R, I didn't buy it for the 1/4 mile. I've had plenty of faster cars. To include a 2k SS modified, 16 HC Challenger, and 14 GT500 modified. I currently have a Z51 C7 M7 next to my R as well. All bought new but all missing that something extra. All lacking something to me in one way or another. I've not reached that feeling with my R where it lacks so much of anything that I've grown dissatisfied with it. It could use a little more low end but not so much lacking to me that it's an issue. The 4k rise to 8250 redline more than makes up for that. It's special. It sounds special. It drives and performs special. It's VIN and dash plate say it is special. It has special equipment around it. Equipment that will not be handed down to lesser models thus diluting the GT350R model. Believe me I have analyzed and continue to analyze the 2020 GT500. The allure of the power and handling together is great. But at the end of summary, I still find in favor of my R. Ford will make 5k GT500's a year. There are likely just less than 4k GT350R's produced over a 6 year run from 2015-2020. I honestly feel more fortunate to own an R than I would if I traded it for 20 GT500. The R is for the connoisseur of driving. The purist.
Serious question: If the 2023 GT PP2 was an exact copy of the 2020 350R; Voodoo, carbonfiber wheels all of it just with a GT badge and not Shelby would you still feel the same way?

5600. It should have blown up by now according to all the interweb stories. Or at the very least it should be guzzling oil like a drunk sailor. But it doesn't.

Huh? I don't deal in IFs. Circle back around if that ever happens.

For a 2 year old car, still not many miles for the cost.

You say 2 years. I bought new with 7 miles on it late 2018 in Oct. So really just a little more than a year. And I drive it to work nearly every day that isn't raining or has rain in the forecast. A total commute of 12 miles. I do drive it. 5miles of which are interstate. The challenge is to get all 10 qts of oil to operating temp during this time of year by the time I get to the interstate so I can run it. I do live in TX but the mornings are still a bit chilly in the winter.

Edit: It's not about the cost of the R. Or the HC. Or the 14 GT500. It's about me.

Well me too. Was yours a 17? I've understood the 18's have gotten new piston and ring packs. Either way, if it fails then I'll do what I have to.

Ok. Lol. So your "driving experience" seems to be centered around having a snake on your steering wheel. Which is fine. It's your money.

For those of us who dont find joy in snake emblems perhaps you can understand how we dont find joy in a more expensive less performing model.

2 total but I confess none with my R. I'm looking at a couple courses but the "membership" fees aren't something I fully understand yet.

Everyone buys what they want and can afford that makes them happy. And my driving experience is centered around the fact that my R is best handling and balanced car that I've personally driven. I confess, I absolutely did like the Z06 and could have easily bought one but I didn't like the way the rear can snap out. Reminded me of my 14 GT500. Too much pucker factor and not enough enjoyment.

yes sir, and sitting back and watching it seemed the 17 and early 18s seemed to mimic mine, hopefully you're a later build.
