This doesn't directly answer your question, but might be helpful (if your car is manual):

My best launch (~1.9 60') is with a ~4000 RPM launch (lower this depending on surface conditions), release clutch smoothly and relatively quickly while increasing accelerator pedal to manage (minimize) wheelspin. 100% pedal as quickly as possible. No lift shift.

My best using that procedure on a stock SS is 12.28 in the 1/4. I'm not sure about 0-60 though.

Disregard my prior post. I see now you were referring to the customizable launch control on newer SS autos. That's an interesting feature. I'm interested in how effective it turns out to be.

Haha all good man, but yeah there’s customizable settings with the 10 speed auto launch control, just testing out some things, 4.4 seconds is the best I got so far with 2k rpm launch with like 10% slip, only used it like 3 times though

The only launch control I'm aware of for that model, is double tap the TC button while in Sport or Track Mode. You should see a Competitive Mode Active message pop up between your gauges. Then you simply stand on the brakes really hard and slap the throttle to the floor very quickly and hold it there. The RPM should settle in nice and smooth and you simply release the brakes to launch.

Do you know if this procedure is the same on a 2019SS with the 10 speed auto? Just bought the car, VERY little instruction from salesman. Not even sure what the green car light means?

My '20 ZL1 1LE 10 speed has adjustable launch RPM settings, I believe the range is 1500 to 2400.

I would like to a hear a report from someone who has launched on a fully prepped NHRA type track surface

I launch around 2,000 rpm but I’m getting to much spin. Next time, I’m going to just try an idle launch. I’m running a 1.5 60’. I’m pushing 824 RWHP

In my A10, I set the launch to Auto and the ESC mode to race. Last Friday I ran the 1/8th at 7.38 @ 98.01MPH. 60' was 1.717, temp was about 77F.

What have you guys done or heard about burnouts with the Goodyear SCR3? Do they need to be smoked real good or can we just drive around the water and go?

I haven’t heard specifically about the Goodyear’s but I always do a light burnout. I run Toyo888R’s.

I don't know if any changes have been made in those models, but I would think it would still be the same. I know my 10 speed ZL1 has this "standard" launch control while in Sport Mode.

I don't think I've ran on an NHRA track yet, but I've been on ones with great track prep.

I drive around the water, back up a little short of it, then do dry burnout until they just start to smoke, then finish with a little bit of a rolling burnout.

I just picked up my 2019 2SS two months ago and only put the rotofab cold air intake in it last month. I went to the track here in Florida for the first time. The launch control setting is put on when you double tap the traction control button, put it in track mode, go to settings and look on the display for “traction control”, tap right to custom, set your preferences. I set it for 2200 rpm with 10 slip. Hopes that help
