Front splash/rock guards

ZL1 addons or GM? I just noticed how bad it is in front of my rear wheels after having my car detailed. Even the lower plastic covered section looks like crap. This really sucks, not like I didn't expect it after having my 17 Camaro for 3 years but dang. I haven't even done a track day yet. Maybe it's worse because of the larger 1LE tires.

It's pretty much up to you. I have zl1 add ons and they do the job perfectly. I actually like the look of them do l more than body colored gm

Bingo. Those steamrollers throw rocks like there's no tomorrow. Or no side rocker clearcoat tomorrow.

I added RPI mudflaps (similar in design to the ZL1 Addons guards) very early on, and have side skirts on order, which is a combo I expect to eliminate this problem.

I have the ACS set. VERY clean, OEM looking. Only complaint is I wish they were a BIT bigger. The ZLE tires definitely stick out more than them. My hopes of that if a stray rock makes it past the guard, it will naturally miss the side of the car.

I have the ZL1 Add-On's on my 2SS. Unless John took action on the detailed email I sent him and fixed it, the installation instructions are (at best) confusing or (at worst) wrong. Since installing mine at about 600-700 miles on the odometer, I've seen no additional markings on the body of the car from stones and I was forced to drive through stone chips for three months over the summer because of my stupid town and their chip-seal process on new roads.

I have the ZL1 addons on my SS, easy to install and don't look bad once installed (can barely notice them really)

Even though you don't have to I pulled each wheel off for install so I could give the inner wells a good cleaning then installed the rock guards

Good point about wheel removal. On mine, I left all four wheels on during the install. The fronts are a bit easier than the rears this way. To install the ones in the rear wheel wells, I used a right angle adapter for a drill with a phillips bit and used a socket to do the tightening.

I have the ZL1 also, and I'm very pleased with it.

Thanks a bunch! Sounds like the ZL1 add ons are the way to go.

not sure if this helps, from a visual point, but here are the zl1addons guards. ignore the dirty wheels as i washed them after them later in the week.

Is the best/only place to buy the ZL1 Add ons from them?
