Most Reliable Sporty Car?

Always seem to see how many problems our cars have. I guess it's just who manipulates what data how. JD power has been around for quite some time so a pretty trusted source. Not sure if this was already posted.

The issues haven’t been that many, it’s just that the issues that have happened affected a lot of cars.

Consumers Reports and JD Powers always seem to be the most honest sources in my opinion. Personally I prefer talking to actual people who own these actual cars and getting their feedback in person. This way I know there's likely no vested interest like there can be with other published sources

I have had 3 5th gen and 3 6th gens. I have only had one warrnty issue on the 5th gen ZL1. It was an unfixable stabilitrack problem. GM bought it back and gave me a discount on the new replacement Camaro (6th gen 2SS). I do not agree any data was "manipulated" by GM. GM has been good to me.

I just love Zebra Corner's take on JD Power.

"What is JD Powah? Sounds like a porn stah."

The diff shudder with the A8’s and recently the valve spring issue on 2020-21 LT1s have really been the only major issues with the 6th Gen I can think of. If you got a turbo 4 or V6 with a stick, or an LT1 with a stick or A10 outside of the valve spring lot, you’ve probably had a trouble free car.

There are rumours saying that there might be a Corolla GR which will compensate for the fact that North America doesn't get the Yaris GR. If it's anything like a Yaris GR then I'd definitely consider it sporty.

And surprisingly, the Corolla hatchback manual transmission looks like a sincere offering from Toyota. You get rev-matching which even the 2.0T and V6 manual Camaro lack, and you can option it to middle trim so it's not just a cost-saving thing. Corolla hatchback isn't a sporty car, but those features do sound pretty nice. I just wonder how the shifters feel.

The reason you see a lot of complaints is because most people dont come to these forums to talk about how good their car is running. Its always when someone has an issue and wants advice. My.02

I think the thing is every car has problems sooner or later hopefully sooner so it’s covered under warranty. But the main thing is will the company admit the problem and fix it. Or fix it if it does happen in only a few cars.
When I was looking for a car before I bought my Camaro I remember Kia had problems with oil linking in the engine (and they knew it) I think it was between 2012 & 2014 I don’t remember exactly which models they were but this is what they did : charged people $500 to look at it and $6000-$7000 for a new engine instead of fixing it for free since it was only on cars 1-2 years old still under warranty.
Why would you buy a Kia if they don’t honor the warranty??
Google it if you think I’m making it up.
