Do both! That’s what I’m doing. Even though my powertrain will still be voided a magnetic damper is $1,400, a headlight is $850, etc etc...and that’s at wholesale. I’m more worried about the heated and cooled seats, HUD, etc taking a dump that my transmission and rear end.

I did! Looks like a hair under $1,500 for a 7yr/56k which would be right up my alley as mine gets about 3,000 a year on it tops.

Has anyone heard of this place https://www.knappvehicleservicecontr...0aAkbZEALw_wcB

Or has anyone done business with them...their prices are pretty good. I know I used to be in the auto warranty business (not GM). But still looks like some profit built into the pricing so could be legit???
That's where I got mine from and it is a GMEPP. They are a Chevrolet dealer in Michigan if memory serves me correctly. I called them when I was researching them and they actually knocked some off the price that I was given through the online quote since it was end of the month. You might try that as well.

You know I was actually thinking about this yesterday and then you post this...too funny. Even if I build the car and the motor or drive train won't be covered...all these other things still would be and I did know the original owner had to have the HUD replaced before I bought it. Good point and something to seriously consider and then if I decide to not build I am totally covered. Hmmmm....

Thanks for responding. I did the quote online and now this guy is emailing me asking me to call him...maybe to get a better deal??? I would call them anyway because the online quote said for a Camaro and wanted to make sure that the ZL1 was included and the same price.

Hmmm...i could disagree with that statement my friend. Not a GM warranty but didn't you get a warranty with your Hennessey build? So then one could argue you have purchased a warranty...LMAO

So I talked to my SA today at the local Chevy dealership about warranties. He said the two best to have are GMPP or GMEPP. They are very easy to work with and accept most things right away without a lot of issues. So then I specifically asked about my Roto-Fab and if I added a catback exhaust. From his experiences he said he would have to prove the Roto-Fab caused the damage for them to not honor the warranty and the catback exhaust would not be an issue at all.

Interesting and he agreed with JonDaddy82 that for the prices we are talking about the warranty would be worth it for even non-motor items. For instance today they replaced the upper portion of my Recaro driver seat. No big deal but I noticed the threading down the left side was coming undone...he ordered me a new seat and had it installed. Out the door this would been over $1,000 with labor.

Just my 2 cents

I thought we're talking extended warranties beyond GM's warranties?

I can't remember if they called me after I submitted my request or if I called to ask a question. Either way, they were very nice on the phone and more than happy to answer questions and went through the various options for time and mileage. I think I initially said I was going to think about it because I wasn't sure what mileage I wanted to do. When I called back to actually set everything up was when they said they would knock the price down a bit more. I told my buddy about it and he ended up calling them to get a warranty on his Silverado and he was happy as well.
