"Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic" hahah

Just made a little module that connects to the BCM that simulates a button press.

For me it has nothing to do with the effort of pulling the paddle. It's more annoying that they put so many gadgets on newer cars that encourage distracted driving, collision detection and adaptive cruise control, and compensate for a lack of talent. First thing I do in my Camaro is disable traction control and active handling, no need for those controls and active handling actually causes problems. If they're going to put that on cars it would be nice to allow defaults to be changed in settings.

In any case, even if it can be locked in, you still have to go to Track mode to turn the nannies off, so you still have to take every step I outlined if you want rev match on and no nannies.
Suspension CAN be locked if you have Magnaride.

It takes all the fun out of it.
Agreed, but rev matching is not something easy to learn if did not grow up with Manuals. Almost no one does today, they are going away.

I would like a way to disable the paddles since I somtimes turn it on without realizing it. But not willing to start moving wires to get there. And my grandson loves the Camaro rev match noise so I turn it on for him.

I am impressed with the OPs skills. It sounds like he would have some customers if he built it.

I do want to use NLS but muscle memory takes over. I guess I am just an old dog.

The modern version of hotwiring your car, and I love it!

Here's the real question for you though......

Can you make a module that would allow me to do the following:

1. Make the moonroof one-touch close (the switch has the detents to one touch close but it will not, even though this moonroof circuit is in other GM cars that DO have one touch close)

2. Allow me to roll the windows UP with the remote as you can roll them down (has to be a simple setup since you can already roll them down)

3. Allow me to open and close the moonroof with the windows with the remote

I know that's a lot to ask but even if you can figure out how to make even just one of those options operational you'll be forever revered as a true genius!

I do rev match by myself every day in my Camaro. I'm 29 and learned it all by myself. It's not that complicated. And no lift shift is easy once you've done it a couple of times.

Old Fashioned

Guess I'm old fashioned in that I don't use rev match. I prefer to tap the gas myself. Guess it's too many years of doing it that way. This is the first car I've owned that has rev match and I can do almost as well at least 80-90 % of the time. Maybe its a big benefit on the track but for normal street driving I don't see the need? What am I missing?

If you go with rev match for a while then forget to put it on it's a little weird, but you can certainly get used to it not being on. The electronic throttle lag takes a bit to get the hang of when you need to blip the throttle, but again, definitely learnable.

The biggest advantage of rev match is when you're decelerating towards a stop, you give the shifter a little shake and you get that nice little wake up call from the exhaust. Weirdly you don't get that kind of free-rev ability while you're rolling (I've heard it's to protect the engine from over-revving while not under load.) Somewhat childish, sure. But I didn't buy the V8 for gas mileage...
