Sounds from Android Auto or Radio

I have 2017 SS and when my Android phone is connected I get what I would call a notification going bing, bing, bing, every 30 seconds or so.

I could be listening to Pandora, XM, or anything though Android Auto and I get this sound.

Anyone else have this issue and how to fix!

Thanks,

I get this weird thing where if I get a text message through bluetooth and the notification ring goes through the stereo and Dash, it'll cause that noise to happen everytime the dash suggests skipping from 1st to 4th gear. It doesn't happen if I don't receive a text on that trip, but always happens on trips in which the text notification comes up on the dash first.

Yeah, I can see how an iPhone cable could cause a lot of issues with an Android phone.

Seriously, though... I'm presuming you've had a lot of trouble with Apple Car Play and iPhones due to cables? Original cables or third party?

It is a good aftermarket USB C cable but lately sometimes I have to push it a couple of times to get "Android Auto" to show up on the dash board.

Now I need to find my original cable because this is longer so I can set the phone in the back seat.

What kind of phone? I have a Pixel 3 XL connected via an Anker cable and don't seem to have any quirks like that (yet). I have heard that AA is finicky on many of the Android phones, though, and did have a lot of trouble with mine on a rental last fall. Might be worth checking for software updates in the Infotainment unit just to be sure there as well.

If this is your experience sounds like its a cable issue thats exactly what mine was doing.

Get a new cable or the one that came with the phone.

You are correct!! I put in a new cable, i believe it is a Belkin cable and the problem stopped. No more bing, bing, bing/

Thank you very much.
