I like the idea behind TNIA, but everything I've heard about it is that it is pretty sketchy, especially in the lower groups.

The Intermediate and Advanced groups I don't see that problem, unless a Novice jumps up before he/she is ready. But the track folks keep a watchful eye out for that. They don't tolerate BS, they give everyone a fair break, but don't listen and they will boot you in a heartbeat. Seen several get bounced at tracks. But that is standard practice at every track event I have ever been to, regardless of who is running the show. |

I had fun at the one i went to, but was in novice and 3 different folks had an off in the first session lol. The one guy that made me uncomfortable in traffic, gave him a point by, only for him to fly off track and break a wheel the very next lap. He made it a whole 3 laps before his day was done.
I’ll go back, but I’ll buy insurance this next time. |

You’re right, i honestly figure had he lasted any longer with an intact car, he’d caught a black flag.

I'll be there! Making the drive up from Orlando to get one of the tracks on my Bucket list.
As for TNIA being sketchy...I have been running them since the first year. PBIR, Daytona, Sebring, FIRM, and only had one issue with a FocusRS driver who just flat-out ignored the passing zones. TNIA officials pulled him off-track and he was not allowed to run the last session.

I've heard of corner workers on their phones and people having offs not get called in. That's enough for me to stay away.

Amen to one of the greatest tracks in the US. Does your car have a PDR? If it does can you post the videos after the event?
