Love the retro black California plates. Does Cali ever force you to replace your plate if you don't get rid of the car? I recall seeing several original black plates and a bunch of the blue with orange lettering when I was in Cali, but that was around 15 years ago.

I’m a big hockey fan. Played for over 30 years. Figured this was appropriate for my ZL1 1LE.

"Fast" plates are pretty corny to me. Plus, there's always someone faster out there. I just have my last name (which is a noun and a verb lol) and an intregal number. Boring I know but its easy to make it work with our multiple cars, bikes, boats, etc.

Funny you ask. It would not allow “MY GOON”. With 2 “Os”. But it would allow me to try for MY GOOON with 3 “Os”. Then, I received a letter from the ministry rejecting the plate and I had one chance to appeal them rejecting it. So, I appealed saying that the car was a more powerful car than a common car and that it would be used at licensed sanctioned tracks and that it was more for a competitive, bragging rights thing between other car enthusiasts. It’s just about the car culture.
They rejected the plate initially because they said it represented violence and criminal activity.
After I appealed the ministry allowed it. And obviously I have it now. Cool story for sure.
The other plate I also have is kinda neat too. All my coworkers and a lot of my friends call me Scoots. My name is Scott. Heres the first set of plates I got.

They actually re-released all of the retro Cali plates and a bunch of other designs.gives you a ton of options which is cool. Cali knows how to make their money as they aren't cheap, but I think it's worth it

I have a 2022 2SS on order and snatched this plate. I'm running on my daily driver now and will transfer over when I finally get the car. I can't believe it was actually available. Someone must have stopped driving or passed away.
