Exactly right. To make the CE more appealing (and legitimate in the eyes of people who think the CEs are collectible), all Chevy had to do is add an intake or software for an additional 15-20 horsepower. But a parts-bin car in bass-boat metallic black or costs-too-much flat black just doesn’t cut it.

The Garage 56 car is a little more compelling because of the low production number and the story behind the car, even though it probably will be priced in the $90s and you’ll have to know someone special to get on the list. And who knows whether or not the G56 only will be available from Hendrick - all the CE packages (they’re not separate models) are in the 2024 Order Guide, but the G56 is not.

The Le Mans car wasn't a Camaro in any sense except the body shape, but it was cool to see and hear on track in comparison to all the European hardware.

The G56 that Hendrick will be offering is nothing more than cosmetic ZL1, but the color scheme is unique and looks nice.

The CE package is a not particularly unique or attractive cosmetic offering, but at least.....(oh crap, I can't think of anything positive!)
