1LE Quarter mile kings come in Part 2

Alright guys ,so I have a 2018 cmaro 1LE with full bolt ons and with 13k miles on the clock.
Specs
Lt2 intake 95tb
2in full length headers with full 3 exhaust and x pipe and into axle back AWE touring mufflers.
160 thermostat
Roto fab CAI
Msd wires
And E 85
M6
And remote tune tuned by GPI
So I want to take it to the track for 1/4
mile pass. The car feels pretty healthy on the street, but I want to know what lauching techniques you guys have luck with, right now I can only use launch control so it won't spin the tires.
Tires are stock 305 50 20 SC3s.
I been to the track for 20 years but never on a 6speed manual car.
Old guy here lol
Thanks

This post I started in Camaro 1LE forums ,sorry

I took the car to the 1/4 mile track and it was terrible, the car was spining the tires in all gears and some violent wheel hooping ending on a disapointing 12.55 et, the car feels real strong when ever it hooks, some folks advice of just putting drag radials and all the hoop will go away, right now I'm running stock SC3 tires at 27psi was launching from 3k to 4k but no luck car spun and severe hoop ocur, do I really need just drag radial out I need craddle bushing and rear control arms ? sorry for the long post guys!!

thanks!!

Get a set of drag wheels and tires for the rear
Until then you'll just be wheel hopping and breaking axles

I like the Mickey Thompson ET Street S/S because you can drive to and from the track with them

Get a pair of 17x10 wheels and a pair of 305 45 17 MT et street R drag radials and you will not spin with 16 or 17 PSI.

I think you are saying wheel hop , A good drag radial as suggested should stop your wheel hop issues along with traction control off.

Drag radials or not, the BMR rear cradle lockout kit made my rear end perceptibly more stable, at only $310 I strongly recommend this kit.

The 1LE cars have solid mounts in the rear and are all ready very stiff and rigid.

i had good luck with a 275/40/17 mt et street r rear and 26x6x18 mt sportsman sr front on 17x9.5 rear & 18x5 front. fwiw i made a 182 mile round trip on those tires to the track and ultimately put a few thousand street miles on them with no issues. my one trip to the track with bolt ons was ok but they did not prep the track. i left at 5k like i was on the street & it dead hooked then bogged. apparently there was some left over prep from the day before.

i highly suggest a 26" tire with that m6. mine picked up 2 mph over a 28.

i never went to the track on a 28" tire. on the street with a similar 60', the dragy showed anywhere from .2-.4 - putting a 26" tire on a basic bolt on m6 car is undeniably an improvement. i don't think the auto cars would see any improvement as they already have more gear than they can use.
