Make the 1LE run a 7:21 at Nurburgring

Ill get straight to it (warning excessive bench racing and rice math)

What will it take for the SS 1LE to run a 7:21 at the nurburgring (Ferrari 488 and C6 Zr1 times roughly).

We rice mathed what the the car might do stock on another thread and came up to somewhere in between a gt350 and porsche gt4, so 7:35 - 7:42.

My guess at what it would take to achieve this (less than 10 grand)

Full bolt ons makes 470+ rwhp (also shown on that thread)
Strut Tower Brace and Full Body Chassis Brace'

Same as pretty much any car...

power to weight ratio
mechanical grip
powerful brakes
knowledgeable driver

Do we have a baseline time for this car? I can't possibly use the ZL1 1LE as a comparison because of the power and aero...

Why specifically 7:21?

I would say at least 100 more HP, some stickier rubber and maybe some more aero. Oh and of course a driver to handle it.

Chassis is already stupidly stiff, strut bar isnt' going to do anything of note.

-Use ZL1 1LE bushings/cradle/etc
-True coilover setup, Custom valved Ohlins likely
-470whp
-cut weight 3500lbs would be my target
-add aero
-G3R or Trofeo R in 305 square if I had to stay DOT legal.
-Driver with HUGE GINORMOUS balls.

So we don't have a baseline... therefore we don't know how much time we have to make up.

Hmm.

This is beyond rice math, at least that usually goes somewhere (slowly) lol

Supercharger, stickier rubber, and super brake pads.

Lots of boost! It only has to last 15 miles!

I think it's fairly safe to use the Gen 5 Z/28 as a baseline considering the comparisons we have seen at various other tracks. Though I would say a few seconds slower for the Ring time just to be safe.

More power, stickier rubber and aero and you get 7:16.
Oh wait that would be a ZL1 1LE

If we must hit 7:21s my guess we need a ZL1 with G3Rs.

Edit: it would proly go faster...

No, we cannot safely use a completely different chassis with different drivetrain to make lap time comparisons on a 7+ minute track. Not even remotely.

lets be real here, it'll be much cheaper to just buy a ZL1 1LE to hit that time than to modify a SS 1LE. The amount of R&D thats gone into ZL1LE to hit 7:16 with a fully backed engineering team is not something an average person slapping bolt-ons can replicate
