Man this freaks me out. I dont want to get the reputation of being 'that guy' when my car is at the dealer, but this type stuff worries the crap out of me. I almost want to give them a list of things Ive seen on here to make sure they dont do any of it. Almost want to begin the list saying 'things Ive seen other dealers do that would make me act like the biggest ass you'll ever meet.'

Stuff like resting my tires against the body of my truck while waiting to install them during a rotation, or laying the hubcaps of my camry on the ground upside down so that they get scratched all up by the concrete (factory hubcaps are expensive, btw). None of that comes close to the screw up pictured above.

This is VERY bad. Highly likely your unibody is now out of alignment, which means your entire car is no longer plum with itself. This kind of thing is near impossible to fix properly. Doors/hood/trunk/windows may not open and close properly. You may develop shakes/rattles/squeaks in the interior because the panels no longer fit perfect. Drivability issues may arise over time.

I'd hire a lawyer.
It's bad, but you're being a bit if a hypochondriac. The damage done is cosmetic. I don't think you understand what you're talking about at all.

That is ridiculous and sucks, so they crushed the underneath of your car and sent a ripple effect up to your panels, what a mess. Ya contact a lawyer. Some of the dealerships out there need to be shut down, some are good at selling you a vehicle but have no idea or experience or care on servicing them.

I'd raise hell and I'd inspect the hell out of the affected areas for a long time before leaving to make sure, as well as take a picture just before leaving if nothing is visually wrong because if something is wrong then hell shall rise.

Sad thing is they were probably going to try and repair the damage before you picked the car up and never tell you about it. You got lucky.

I emailed the body shop that replaced my bumper. Requested their opinion and included a photo. Hopefully I'll hear back from them.

You're probably looking at some new fenders and a few weeks in the body shop for paint and other fitment work.

It's a huge inconvenience, My 2SS is at the body shop right now for paint defects and I'm already nervous as it is.

My buddy here at work took his Volkswagen into the dealership to get some warranty work done. They smashed it into a retaining wall pulling out of the service bay because they couldn't drive a stick. He captured all this on his dash cam.

That is really sad, I feel bad for you. The will probably have to replace the rockers on both sides. If you have a really good body shop it should be OK, if not it's not going to be good. Step 1; get the service manager and general manager of the dealer involved asap.

The problem with things like this is you will always be wondering if the car has been compromised in some way aside from cosmetic damage. Get your documentation together, and get the service manager and dealership GM to view it before it comes off the lift. This is inexcusable. Personally, I'd be demanding a new vehicle, not a sorry and a cosmetic repair.

WHY? They are incompetent idiots. Everyone should be aware of the dealer so they dont go through this too.

Not much to predict with those photos. The door now sits below rocker panels, your fender is folded up like an accordian and the plastic where the jack rests against is all chewed up. This is why I ask for the Camaro or Corvette tech to work on my car when I bring it in to the dealer. I think at the price we pay for these cars we should not have to get the same tech that works on a Chevy Spark. I want someone who is trained to work on these high performance cars. It is so disappointing, basic common sense would have told you that the jack arms are going to cause damage. Not only that, the car is still sitting on the lift like that with its fenders buckled and no one has a clue, except you. Makes me want to puke all over this iPad I am typing on.
