Square 305’s with lowered car
Hi guys, first post but I have been lurking and reading and learning as much as possible, I couldn’t find a good answer to my question so here goes.....
I have an 2018 SS 1LE lowed on Eibach springs. I didn’t do the springs, I bought the car with 1000 miles on it from a guy who lowered the car. The car is 100% going to be used for track purposes. Will 305 fit up front while lowered with the 1LE wheels, would spacers be needed? I don’t like running spacers on a track so I would probably put the factory springs back on if I have to since he gave them to me when I bought the car. The Eibachs I think drop it about 3/4 of an inch Thx for the help. |

Last I think I saw you can only go to a 285/35 or something like that without rubbing it's a small window there to go larger on the front, you'd have to def run a spacer.

305s on a 10 inch wheel is a little tight.
That is why 10.5 or 11 is used upfront.

Did the prior owner put on the original -1.1" SS springs or the later -0.7" SS1LE springs?
Are you going to use the track alignment settings? Are you planning to stick a pair of 20x11 rears up front to avoid excessive bulge of a 305? Are you going to swap to ZL1 fenders? |

Sorry, didn’t do the quote thing correct but see above for answers. I can build a 1000 HP car but can’t figure out how to use a computer |

If you're trying to push even more camber to get to -3.0, with any spring drop, you are not likely to have any clearance left for a 295 on the factory 20x10, let alone a 305. It's going to be snug on the stock rubber.
I suggest you finalize your alignment specs first and then get under there while it's on the 4-post and look at those top inner clearances yourself. If you don't have safely more than 0.85" between rubber and strut at its' closest point, you're going to rub. Each 10mm lateral growth will need at least 12mm of diagonal clearance if you keep the same sidewall ratio. And tire brand could be a limiting factor as well, depending on how round the shoulders are. The older Michelin PSS' have the best shoulder for trying to stuff the largest stamped size tire into a tight spot. |

I figured that would be the case, figured I would ask though. I have a couple months of snow still. The car is going to the tuner in a couple weeks and I’ll look at it then.
Thx |
