glad to see there is some interest in us upgrading both sides! i actually just got in a proto exhaust wheel today, and will be hopefully machining the housing later this week, and heading to the dyno next week!

Wook, if you are interested in trading up before install (assuming our testing goes as planned...might be jumping the gun here) or just chatting, feel free to reach out to myself, or tyler here, or via email. Tyler may be a better choice, as i am usually elbow deep in the CNC during the day

Compressor Upgrade...... giving it a go. will be tuning it... so far the butt dyno seems OK.... JacFab and waste gate spring was transferred to the new BW Turbo. Tremendous sound. 6 hours to remove, 2 hours to install. first timer. Will work with it for a while.... Not for the faint of heart.

I had mine off and re-installed in 3 hours... Lol. Don't be pushing your car at all until you tune it for the bigger wheel.

Yeah I hear ya! Slight issue with factory installed stud being cross threaded. other than that it went pretty smooth. I had to made a few trips to the store to get a couple tools. and to get my shots at the vet. That frigging thermometer thing .... lol...

I see some variances in the air i will be working on. My Oem was wanting for more air, and it 'seems' like this turbo is satisfying the demanded air. No issues with spool at all. Oem turbo labored to meet the demanded TQ and this one seems to spool with less effort if I was to judge by the sound.

drivability is still fantastic and I sense a stronger pull in the meaty zone of 2.5 to 3.5K. I haven't seen any top end gains in the logs yet. I had my oem turbo tuned to perfection. It will take a while until the jury comes in.

So my fears and apprehension set aside. I think my custom compressor deserves a more dignified name than "big-wheel". I have numbers that compare well to other projects but I'm gonna wait till about 60F here for more reasonably calibrated air before I list any graphs. Not to sound off on any logs i have in my pocket at 1200 ft below sea level. But with a little elbow grease and sweat on the brow things are looking great.

cough, cough (vcs log 400tx380h) @-1200 DA....
