Don't sleep on the ECS centri kit. Uses the Paxton Novi 1500SL, flows the same CFM as a D1SC, base kit comes with cog drive, high flow intercooler with race valve...list price is 5599.00. If you ever frequent the Corvette forums, then you would know ECS is highly regarded.

i just had my car tuned just yesterday with ecs/vortech kit and LTs with no cats and we got 603hp at 6400 and 547tq. i have only driven it for a day and i cannot believe how much better it drives then stock with the tune. It behaves great until you really get it up in the RPMs, than it just goes bananas. I'm very happy with it so far and incredibly impressed what my tuner was able to achieve and retain such great drivability. its ridiculously loud which is almost a blessing, it keeps me from playing too much lol.

+1 on sticking with a manual. some of us (myself included) dont give a shit if we lose by half a car length due to a transmission. who cares honestly. end of the day you still have a fast car. a manual transmission offers a driving experience no automatic can match.

all this talk on some threads of being faster by .10 seconds is ridiculous lol

in the higher ranges, its not .10 and the issues aren't "simply because of the trans" but include the ECU itself.

Again, u buy what makes you feel good, but if you intend on high HP dragging the car, the difference is more like .50+

But yah macho man, I bought an M6 too, feels great being riddled by issues I have no control over lol.

Speaking of issues, aren't the A8s prone to problems as well? I can't tell how widespread it is, but I've seen threads mention issues with the 16/17 A8s.

The problem is not the A8 8l90. There are however a lot of 8l90 equipped vehicles experiencing converter shudder. The converter is not part of the transmission, it's a coupler between the engine and trans. If a TR6060 M6 has clutch issues does that mean it's is a bad transmission?
