Smoking on Deceleration

I have a 2017 Camaro SS that has a TSP 416 rotating assembly, Factory heads port polished and skim by PRC, Magnuson TVS 2300, with a MM catch can. I just purchase the car about a month ago and the car has 2200 miles on it, motor has about 1700 miles on it maybe 700 or less of those miles is with the supercharger on it. The car has had some kinks that I'm trying to work out. Just had the car tuned it made 805hp and 808tq on e85 and 775hp on 93

Now for my issue took the car for a spin the other day made a 70 to 140 mph pull car felt great. When I slowed down to turn around I notice the car was smoking. I got out and you guess it, it smelt like oil. I took it easy on the way back to the house and there was no smoke. Rolling about 60 I down shifted it to get it up in the RPM's and it started smoking again right away. Car can set for several days and you can crank it no smoke it does not smoke at idle. You can rev the car up no smoke. Even when the car was on the dyno it didn't smoke like this. I did notice on a couple of the dyno pulls that the car haze a lil blue smoke when the car came back to a idle after a full pull but no mosquito fogging like it is now. And this is the first time I drove the car after having it tuned.

I have a hard time believing that its piston ring or valve seals or guides. I hoping that its a PCV issue. I did reach out to Mighty Mouse and sent them some photos of the install and he said everything looked good other then a check valve that was installed on the vacuum side between the catch can and the Magnuson. My buddy is loaning me everything to do a leak down test just to make sure that its not in the heads or pistons.

Has anyone else have any experience with these symptoms? Any advice would be greatly appreciated

I know the engine bay is dirty in the pictures and it has been cleaned properly since this photo. Its kinda embarrassing but thats how it looked when I bought it.

If the smoke is coming out the tailpipe you've got a leak internally which sucks. I'd go ahead and do the leak down test first you may actually have a bad valve seal.

I’d also say you may be spewing oil out the front crank seal which in turn flies back and gets burnt on the exhaust.

The smoke is coming from the tail pipes its not leaking oil externally.

I agree, if oil is leaking into the combustion chamber, which means it is getting into your exhaust system out thru tail pipe.

I am gonna guess the issue is in the heads with the valve seats/guides.

Hmmm... hard saying... it only seems to do it when the pressure is on.
I'm voting leak down test too.

Pulled the valve cover today just to do a visual inspection and everything by eye looks good. I'm going to do the leak down like mention before and I going to buy a spring compressor so I can look at the valve seals a lil closer.

Also pulled the plugs again last night and #1 spark plug had oil on it and everything else looks good. So at least I have it down to one cylinder. I'll post a pic below. This plug has about 20 miles on it and about 6 dyno pulls.

I'm leaving Monday to go to work I'll be gone at least a month so its gonna be on hold till I get back.

I found a interesting post on TSP valve springs and valve seals that they were having issues with in late 2016 and earlier 2017 that they now have changed. These heads were done in Nov of 2016 by them. Below I will post the screen shot of the post and if you look at the part #'s that he posted and look at the build sheet of mine from 2016 the part numbers match.

Smoking when decelerating usually is valve seal(s).

Looks like valve seals fix the issue!!

We did a leak down and everything was perfect. Updated the MM catch can as well. I put 100 something miles on it this weekend with no issues.

Had a feeling it was that. Glad you got it all sorted out.
