RPMs going up and down?

I recently purchased a 2018 LT1 RS V6 with automatic transmission.

I never really noticed it before because I was just driving in town but as soon as you get on the freeway or highway RPMs jump up and down when you're doing a steady speed. Lord knows don't put the cruise control on because that just makes it 10 times worse.

Anybody know what could be causing this?

Bad tourqe converter. There are numerous threads and a TSB from chevy.
