Black or not, that bow tie is too big for that small space. Also got rid of the SS when I found this cool plate frame. That SS badge just floats in nowhere

This is true, should have added "imo"... I actually debadged the rest of the car besides the bowties, no ss or Camaro shield emblems.

I just removed mine as well. Think of it this way. The Corvette doesn't have a huge Bowtie on the back. If it we're smaller I would have left it, it's huge and looks like something from a Cruze. Doesn't belong there. I wish they wouldn't have designed a Camaro script instead because A) It would be the only way to identify the car. B) It would look way better than that cheap Bowtie that sticks out a half an inch from the body.

Finally, someone who agrees. The rear definitely makes it look like tits on a bull. I am also going to black out the rear deck because it will add some contrast to it all being one color. The tail lights look better when that back deck panel is black IMO.

That badge would look nice on the rear panel on the cars that don't have it on the fenders, if that makes sense. Thinking about putting that over the blackout instead of the Bowtie.

I'm gonna paint the rear Bowtie red first , then go from there. I as well like the no rear Bowtie .
Happy Motoring

I posted a DIY thread awhile back when I did this. I took the standard bow tie and cut out the middle to make a rear flow tie.
Personally, I think it’s way better than any standard or painted bow tie. But that’s my biased opinion.

The rear BowTie on my 23 was one of the toughest I've had to get off the car, I always debadge my cars and that one was a real SOB to get off.

I found the black vinyl strip for between the lights, so I'll take off the gold badge and not put one back on. I think that will look great on a hot red car.
