Recaros from GM?
Can you buy the Recaros from GM separately? I cant find a part number anywhere. Does anyone know them? I would like the 1LE version over the ZL1's. Nobody has any for sale. If they do, it is ridiculous to ship them. If I can just go to my local dealer, I don't mind paying the premium for them.

Back in the day when the recaros were only available on the ZL1's there were a lot of threads on here about buying them from GM. They were really expensive.

Google “camaro ss 1le recaro seats”, then click on “shopping”. They will be roughly 5k US dollars for both. It might cost you that much to just trade what you have for a 1le.

haha good luck i have been looking for years either too far or blown airbags or whatever they retail for about $2000 a piece or so new

I found a dealer that placed an order for a 1LE driver seat for about $900 USD shipped, but it was placed on indefinite backorder. You may have to go the used route. I ended up picking up a set of very lightly used ZL1 front and rear seats off this forum for about $1600 bucks. Like you I preferred the 1LE seats to the ZL1, but also be aware that some 1LE seats are coming from a 1SS and will not have the correct harness to plug into your car so you will have to disassemble to harness swap. I wanted a pure plug and play solution so I went with the ZL1 seats that are all compatible with the 2SS/2LT and retain the full memory/heat/cooling function. The red stitching not matching bothered me so I bought a couple fabric dye pens for $12 and dyed my dash, shifter boot, knee pads, and door panel stitching to a matching red.
