I would of been at Woodburn, but I went to Coos Bay instead because I'm chasing a Wally trophy this year. Congrats on the time!

Hey Ants.ZL1 and Squatch. You are the first fellow owners I've found out here in the PNW.
Are you thinking about racing at the August 21st - Friday Night Fun Drags - 100 MPH Qualifier in Woodburn? |

Nice numbers, getting closer to that 10 second club. With a little more practice you might make it without any mods. When you decide a little more power is in order hit us up. We have some great options for the LT4 cars.

How come we don't see more Stock ZL1 in the 10 Sec club. Most are running 11.5. I hear a lot that these cars can run 10 sec but so far I seen 2 that had time slips. There's has to be more or everyone is just for looks. 11.6 is all i can get out of mind.

I’ve ran an 11.2 at 124mph in bone stock formation with factory tires. Took 2 trips and 8 passes to get things right.

Do you know if license plates and current registration are required to run? Of course I have insurance. I had my car shipped from Texas in May and still can't get into DMV for plates and registration. As far as temps - that'll be a crap shoot. But if it's too hot, is it worth going? I think so. Time in the seat - a lot of it, IMO, will be necessary to run stock 10's with an M6. I am trying to get a set on Nitto NT05R's for the trip. I have NT555G2's and they SUCK! |

I've run the Hoosiers several times on my Camaro. My best pass on the Hoosiers was 9.61@144 at Gateway MSP in St Louis. I ran about 13 lbs of air in those, if it hooks hard you may end up spinning the tires on the wheels. I'd mark your tire at the valve stem with a white shoe polish mark. That way you can tell if the slick is moving on the wheel. If they are Permatex makes a High contact cement that I used on my drag radials as they were spinning on the wheels also. I had my slicks screwed down but if you don't want to drill holes in your wheels then you could use that Permatex. I found this out from MT tech line and the dealer I bought the drag radials from. Basically you break the tires back down, put the Permatex on the bead of the tires and wheel. Let them set for about 20 minutes and air them back up to about 30 psi and don't run them for 24 hours. Then your good to go. I'd had my Hoosiers spin a quarter of the way around in one event and thats not good. I did not run a tube in the Hoosiers and would not recommend it.
