True story. I was at a track event in Savannah, I about half a tank of 108 octane race fuel in the car. Next session the car went into limp mode. The next session I ran half throttle and never went full throttle just to burn off some of the fuel, once I got 93 back in it, it ran fine.

Burns slower so yes - to squeeze a few hp best bet is run a few points higher than the design octane rating (say 96 for 93 rating), anything more is a waste of money

If you want the most accurate Dyno reading, ask your Dyno operator for the "SAE Correction Factor". Those numbers will be lower than the "Standard Correction Factor" numbers that you provided, but will be more accurate and a better benchmark for future measurements.

The shop had done a c7 vette with same motor but with a 7speed, it made 6 more hp but 40 less tq. Not sure why but it is what it is.
As for the sae it's a minimal difference and ill be using same dyno every time. Ant |

A guy has to realistically use SAE to make the numbers real world...that's why that Standard was created.
Also educate me pls...is 10.9 AF Ratio at max RPM in a stock car - what these cars command / produce? Seems lean does it not? At least compared to other Boosted cars.

i'm jealous of the curve from 5k-redline, especially 6200+. my LT1 dropped like a rock after 6300.

Really wish people would stick to the SAE standard... STD just inflates the numbers.
