Idk if the l99 has it but I remember in trucks it did around our years but the oil pressure sensor has a cone filter under it and that has caused some problems with oil pressure ..

I could be wrong , but in my personal experience when where I had a bad oil pressure sensor the gauge would fluctuate crazy like it lost its mind ..

Does anyone know if the barbell in the back of the block could cause lose of oil pressure?

Just maybe another thing to check, check your oil filter. I have seen some come apart and stop the oil and pressure from flowing cleanly thru it, causing pressure fluctuations.. Maybe

Theres a filter screen under the oil pressure sensor. It can get dirty, though it shouldnt. I've seen them with a sludge build up on them, which can cause a lower pressure reading.

There's also a pressure relief valve in the oil pan that can get stuck open.

It's not really a wear item, so it shouldn't cause any issues. Only if it were removed and reinstalled and not replaced, or the o-ring tore during installation. If it were in there and no on had touched it prior, then it's not likely going to be an issue.

Thank you sir. I actually plugged the pressure relief valve in the pan when I did the last oil pump. And I've had my engine apart several times now and it still looks brand new inside, no sludge at all.

Verify actual oil pressure with a manual gauge. I don't know where to tap in on these cars as I haven't had to do it yet, but that would be the next step.
