Rare and desirable are two different things. Not knocking it, but in reality the 6 spd cars will be worth more.

Not true but ur entitled to your opinion. The manual is a dime a dozen, still nice though I love manual also.. The auto just came out and is rare, what's not desirable to you may be to others, and I care about my investment as others do, lmao and I'm a definitely enjoy it hope you do to buddy.

If you look at values of sports/muscle cars over the last 20+ years, manuals will always command a higher price.

This goes for 4th gens, 5th gens and it will be the same for 6th gens.

This is true. OTOH, a big part of why manuals command higher prices for so many used performance cars is that they make up a small portion of the supply. For the 6th gen 1LE, that won't be the case since the first four years of production were manual only and production is likely to be much lower from MY2021 through the end of production.

Will be interesting to see how that plays out...especially in the context of the industry transition to EVs.

According to the 2019 ZL1 production numbers, roughly 7.13% of 2019 ZL1's were Orange Crush. Applying that 7.13% to the 2020 SS 1LE we get about 30 2SS 1LE's in Orange Crush and 50 1SS 1LE's in Orange Crush. These numbers are certainly incorrect but they're probably good estimates. Considering the 2019 ZL1 had more color options than the 2020 SS, there are likely more Orange Crush SS's than these estimates predict.
