I agree with the guys on the trunion upgrade while you are in there with the miles you have on her. Very good insurance for sure. I have the CHE kit installed in my rockers.

I think that I will go with the CHE kit as well. It seems like good quality stuff.

Yes they are the best out there. You don't have to have a press to install them, they just slide in with a bit of oil on them, and they are lighter than the other brands.

I went with the CHE also. Figure afm delete in parts is about $850 give or take. Definitely change ALL of the lifters not the afm lifters only.

GPI wants $2350 for the entire swap, plus the trunnion upgrade. It's a little bit expensive.

Does anyone know if I could safely run the headers from speed engineering uncoated? Should I be concerned about the heat? Will it torch everything under the hood?

Many people dont have coated headers or wrapped and are fine. Just put thermal boots over the spark plug wires just in case.

A good number of us have Speed Engineering headers. I have no issue with them. Don't get the 1 3/4 primary's though. Get at least 1 7/8.

Thanks for all the answers guys. One more question though. Is there a exhaust kit that will bolt on after the headers that doesn't require wielding? I'm trying to save all that I can now that it's gonna cost me around $3000 to do all this. Thanks again.

Most of the cat back systems are designed to bolt up or use clamps. I don't like welding my exhaust either. My Corsa system came with all the clamps but it's also an expensive system. Do some shopping and compare sounds before you jump on one based on cost alone.

Ok, if trying to not spend needlessly, get the Speed Engineering longtubes, an X-pipe from summit, and be done. It sounds awesome, zero drone, and gets the same power as having longtubes and a catback. Sounds like this:

What about the rest of the exhaust from the x pipe to the tips?
