I will gladly post them.

He seems like he wants to make a point, however which concerns me. He used to work w GPI products and no longer supplies them. Assuming he doesn't pull timing on it, it should make power. I researched these and seems they do make gains with modest bolt ons, adding any type of cam should be gravy.

I just get pissed with the max effort guys, rah rah 'you won't make any power unless heads and stage 4'.
I am not buying it.

I'm curious to see how much power you'll gain as a whole (whole graph). Will you be doing a before and after test? As in strap the car on the rollers with the current setup.

I believe 1st a baseline with current boltons.

Once cam is installed a run there. Then with the ported ls3 intake, likely while its on there.

Awesome, that would definitely be an ideal test.

I'm not sure the peak gains are where the manifold shines, but more across the whole powerband. I totally expect you to see good gains with it, BUT, are you doing a test where the only thing you are changing is the manifold?

Negative..

Vette guys claim it makes power with bolton's minus cam.

I have a mild cam going in and was looking for additional power while waiting for the cam to come in(1 month). I found this intake which is similar to GPI's rod mod intake but also ported and the rods are smoothed out(essentially halfed) to smooth the airflow further.

G8 guys and SS sedan crowd have used with good success on mild cams or boltons.

Long story short, my tuner does not believe it will make any power and is offering free dyno after install.

The cam is stated to make 35-40 whp and good under the entire curve with no loss down low. Any additional to the cam is good to me. The claimed throttle response is worth it alone, but will add torque and some whp.

I picked up some good numbers with a ported rod mod over stock with a port matched throttle body. The fast is too expensive and doesn’t compete.
Stock mani: 450whp and 420tq
Ported rod mod: 460whp and 436tq

Decent gains.. what was the cam spec? Likely more aggressive than what I will be doing. What size was the throttle body?

Nightfury cam and stock ported TB.

Why such a mild cam? The GPI SS1 cam can get to 457 RWHP with supporting mods (not including ported heads) such as UDP and ported manifold...

I posted on here awhile back about gains on a FBO with the manifold and was told peak might be 5 hp...I honestly didn't feel much gain on mine, but i'm sure it's helping.

The thing is with the manifold is power throughout the whole band and not just peak. Peak numbers by themselves really don’t mean much without the curve.

Right, that's why above my last post I said "I'm not sure the peak gains are where the manifold shines, but more across the whole powerband."

I think GPI said they saw some gains of 20 rwhp below peak on a cammed car...damn good if true.

If you look at my dyno graphs the stock mani only made 450 from 6200 to 6700.

The rod mod did it at 5700 and carried it past 7000. Good useable power.

I'm afraid of state inspections. Been failed with other cars and had to demod.

I also am looking for good characteristics, no down low loss and power everywhere. Cam is quoted to make 35 40 whp.

I want it to be able to run auto x, circuit possibly.
