just to be clear for everyone new coming into the discussion.
new forged internal components are for people who are going beyond stage 2 levels from these (edelbrock / overkill) superchargers. if you _need_ them, you'll also need the additional fuel modifications needed to push beyond 7-9psi. They're most definitely optional for anyone deciding to stay within stage 1 packages. |

it would at least be somewhat comforting to know for sure that the delay this product has been having is due to Edelbrock getting it 50 state approved.

I received a reply the other day about the supercharger from FMS Performance. It is a delay because of CARB in California. They did say that the new expected release is 7/1/19. But also this point I'm not holding my breath.

what's odd is most places technically dont wait to sell something while it's being approved.
They must not be getting an EO number but instead be getting it actually compliant and making revisions to the hardware/tune based on testing. Unless they're just using the carb thing as an excuse to explain away production delays. |

Always being CARB compliant is like never exceeding the speed limit

The Colorado kit is out. $4500 with out tune, $5000 with tune. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/e...BoCutwQAvD_BwE

interesting, the two engines are the same physically from the exterior (they'd need a different TB mount piece since the lgx intake is mounted on the opposite side of the lgz setups it seems). And it does look to be carb compliant.
5k with tune is very attractive. I wonder if that price will stand with the "sports car" markup. |

I would think that someone needs to make a comparable single turbo or twin turbo setup for our cars. There is way too much room to work with in the engine compartment to not have at least the idea of one going. Tthere are already 3 supercharger systems out there.

the market for people looking to spend more than the cost difference of getting a v8 to make power that is comparable to the v8 is .....tiny.
I think in late 2016 or early 2017 there was someone who was setting themselves up a remote turbo system but I dont think they ever bothered to sell it as a kit or anything. And there hasn't been a lot of interest in creating a kind of lgw kit for the lgx. Probably more custom metal work than required for superchargers going that route. |

biggest issue with the camaro is hood clearance. The colorado kit has a air to water cooler under it and its a small displacement unit... this would not fit under stock camaro hood but there is no reason you could not probably use it with the camaro with the right hood. interesting for sure though.
