How does that price drop effect cars that have been built and not yet shipped and purchased (by me)? Will I see that?

The more I look at some of this prices, the more I feel GM pricing does not make any sense.

For example the 6 pistons front brake upgrade is $3,175.00 on what was announced. But if you go to the chevrolet page, they will sell it to you for $3,000 (http://www.chevrolet.com/performance...arts/2016.html) and they are vented and slotted. You may think you are better off buying it yourself or You may say, $175 for installation is not bad but shouldn't you get credit for the the 4 piston brakes that would be there otherwise? Chevy will sell you the kit for $2,000 .

So with this option you are paying for the $2,000 4 pistons brakes that would be there otherwise, plus $3,000 for the 6 pistons brakes option, for a total of $5,000 for brakes.

Or you can buy it without the 6 pistons option, buy the kit for $3,000 at Chevy and install them yourself. Then sell your 4 pistons for $1,500.

I believe the option for brakes should be $1,000 and not $3,000 which is the difference between those two parts.

Please, if I see this wrong, let me know.

Well GM this is one way to start solving the problem.

Unfortunately it looks like they've left their "sizzle model", the SS, with it's higher prices.

No, they really think it's worth 3000 on top of the 2000 you're already paying for the items. Just like they think a tiny netting is worth 50 bucks.

You're not getting the 6 pots instead of the 4 pots...you're getting them on top of them.

When they're installed you get the stock brakes back to do as you will with them.

Then why are they selling it for $3,000 to anyone who wants them? see this link: http://www.chevrolet.com/camaro-spor...cessories.html

I think y'all are confused...

If you have a LT, you can buy either the 4 Piston SS Brembos brakes, or the 6 piston upgrades. You're getting your stock brakes (which is included in the price of the car) and the 4 piston or 6 piston brakes. When either the 4 pot or 6 pots go on, you get your stock ones back.

If you have a SS, you can buy the 6 pistons. You're getting your 4 piston brembo brakes (included with the price of the car) and you're getting the 6 piston units. When the 6 pistons are installed, you'll get your stockers back.

Keep in mind sometimes prices on the websites are not updated as much, so it could be a bit if there is a price discrepancy to be resolved.

I would choose the version below and DIY. But if you are not tracking you are wasting your $$.

I think it needs to be a factory add on, so you get the credit for the 4 piston brakes, and on top of that if you go the GM DIY way, your fronts are red and the rears stay the same gray color they came as, whats that about.

Keep in mind the 2017 model year raised the price by about $500 over the 2016 model year, so in reality the saving are not much and are limited to specific models.

We are only a couple months into the 2017 models and they are making price reductions. If they are lowering prices at all then they are basically admitting that they are not meeting sales targets. Bummer.
