I hear you. Love the Camaro - not crazy about the little lights.

UGDO/URPA fuse located in the trunk's fuse block by the battery. Be warned, NONE of your mirrors will have any functions at all if you remove this fuse. Take a black sharpie pen to it instead.

A dab of paint will dim that light.

Interesting. I have the opposite issue. The little Onstar lights just stopped working the other day. I have full functionality of the mirrors, though Onstar lights wont illuminate or respond to touch. I don't have Onstar, but I am not a fan of things not working the way they were intended. There is absolutely nothing on line regarding this issue, and I am reluctant to bring it in to the dealer without an idea of what the possible causes/solutions are.

Update: based on strych9's comment, I checked the mirror and it indeed also was not auto dimming. The other mirrors worked fine, as did the home link and back up sensors, so the issue lied only with the mirror's power. I reset the UGDO/URPA fuse and everything started working again. While I am pleased that everything is working, I am concerned that simply resetting the fuse "fixed" the issue. Especially since the same fuse was powering the home link and back up sensors. I guess I will keep an eye on it for now. If it persists, at least I have a reference to give the dealer.

I just pulled that 7.5 amp fuse labeled ugdo in the trunk and the instant still worked without the fuse in. Is there a different fuse to reset on star?
