OP, that was around the price I got mine for. I just asked for them to throw in the stripes and some gas. Then GM sent me 2 - 26point inspection with oil change coupons a $85 value at my dealership.

not the $41,000 price you just posted though.

That is MSRP, not a deal of any kind at all.

Its still 37.7....you can buy it for that and park it in your garage and never drive it. If you want to register it and drive it you're going to have to pay the state the sales tax and the Registration fees. The number they are giving you now is the total you are going to finance (they're going to cut you a check for the registration/sales tax so you don't have to pay it out of pocket).

Op. I have the pricing guides for the 2012's.
You could look them over to see what you should be paying. Just pm and let me know if you want them.

Looks to me like MSRP is $39,410. You should be able to get the car for around $36,000 to $36,500 + TTL.

You need to sit down and negotiate... you never get anything close to the bottom line price unless you're sitting there ready to sign. Phone price is ALWAYS higher.

My experience is dealers never want to discuss "out the door" because the finance guy who does the paperwork will add 500 of junk fees. You should figure out ttl in your state and just bargain on price. Then refuse to pay any junk fees. They need to make their money on the negotiated price.

For instance, in texas, tax is about 6.25% and title/license is about 60 bucks give or take. I negotiated a price of 27300 for my 2lt/rs knowing full well I was going to pay 29000 total.

Oh yeah that is the quickest way to lose me as a customer forever, do what you say and say what you do or I'm gone. Some salesmen will say anything to get you to come in but the smart ones won't give you any firm number until you are there in front of them and ready to make a deal. I went to five different dealers before I found one that I liked that gave me the deal that I wanted. I still think I could have done better but I felt good about the deal I negotiated. And don't be afraid to ask for or demand extras like floor mats, cargo net, or even for them to tint the windows.
