Question:

I'm looking at a Canadian Z28 this week I asked the seller for the Carfax. He gives it to me. I came here to see if has been vouched for at anytime.

The Carfax shows it's been in Canada since day 1, however it has been vouched for on here by an owner who said he purchased it in the US, nowhere near the Canadian border.
The color description and AC radio option matches too.
Needless to say I'm a bit confused?!?

I do not wish to disclose the VIN publicly for privacy reasons, but I've rechecked it a few times now to make sure I wasn't blind and its still the same last 6 digits that gets displayed here.

Couple of things to verify - be sure your are not confusing a 2014 car with a 2015 car when comparing last 6 numbers - you could have overlap in those numbers between years and/or a CTF car.

FYI - for VIN - Last 6 digits:
All CTF cars start the number with a "69"
All the production cars start with "70"

You need to look at last "8" digits

2014 Cars start with "E970xxxx"
2015 cars start with an "F970xxxx"

So you could have the same "last six" for a 2014 or 2015 production car - a 2014 being 70XXXX and a 2015 also being 70XXXX - so be sure to identify the first 8 letters from end - as "E" for 2014 or "F" for 2015.

That could be why you are seeing two cars with same last 6 digits that are not the same car - one is 2014 and one is 2015.
