Well I just got back from doing a couple wot pulls with my updated full throttle shift speeds, remember I set them to stock and then raised them a little. That did put me in the right ballpark because now it's shifting right about 6300 rpm in 1-3 and 6200 rpm at 3-4. So I liked the way it felt at 6300 so I think I'm going to leave it there and just bump up the mph in 3-4 to get it up to 6300. I was going to run a stepped rpm but it's just too damn tedious and I have yet to check out 4-5th and 5-6th gear shift rpm because of the long road needed, so I guess I'll get on the tollway late one night. So anyways no more over revving! And just to share my full throttle shift speeds are 30, 61, and 99 mph in 1st through 4th.

Sounds like a winner bro!! Good job, I really need to check mine too and see where all the magic is happening in my shifts, All I know is 1-3 is set at 7200, and from there on I'm not sure, never paid attention to it..lol

Yeah before I changed it, it was shifting all over the place all the way up to 6800 rpm and that's just too far past my peak numbers because my peak was actually at 6130. The numbers did stay the same until around 63-6400 rpm that's why I left it till 6300 I figured it couldn't hurt anything. But I'm happy with it now and I feel like I'm in the safe territory. Now I just got to log those 5th and 6th gears. lol

Sounds good. Yea when we dyno'd mine with the LOD we pulled it out to 7500 and she still wanted to make more, but we stopped there for safety for the engine, so we set the shifts at 7200 and she feels good there, shifts pretty firm and the rpms only drop about 100 at each shift, that I can tell.

You need to command the shift to start sooner in the pull so that it completes befor the limit.

Look into the bluecats tool and watch some videos on shift tuning/response.
