How does everyone get there car to hook? Suspensions mods? Launch rpms? Tires?
We always talk about hp here and very rarely how to put it to use.

I stall the car around 3000rpm then nail it! Sport mode, traction control off. Definitely need drag tires. I like 18 to 20psi on the track. 28 in the street.

Ill second that. Poly rear cradle bushings made a world of difference. Car dead hooks with no wheel hop

Upgraded to BMR Trailing arms. No wheel hop. Car hooks.

Subframe bushings seem to be a very popular upgrade. I will be doing bmr trailing, toe and lower control arms too.
Any strut/spring recommendations?

For a bolt on car, you can use the mods mentioned above to hook up well. Once you go power adder, even with all of the mods traction on the street is a dream. Ask eLSthree, he has about everything you can do to a fifth gen without going to a dedicated live axle set up.
I have BMR trailing, toe and lower control arms with DSE solid cradle bushings and Z28 inner upper bushings. Zero traction on the street but fun. I have not taken it to the track yet with my drag pack wheels and tires yet as I work out of state and don't get to spend much time with her these days.

Subframe bushings, lots of BMR parts, coilovers, 17" Weld wheels, MT tires, 1800 rpm launch, pray for great track prep, go on 3rd yellow.

Did y’all see the thread about GPI setting the sbe record? He was cutting 1.2s with factory diff and axles. He did have 3.91s and a truetrac (and the car weighs less than a ghost fart) but still. Pretty impressive
