Naaa the guys pulling motors to tear into them have the balls.
Install it to determine the maximum amount of recess, then template and install the filler pieces to wrap around the sides.

Hopefully picking it up. 3 days at the dealer to replace leaking pinion seal and get the alignment straight.

Test-fitted the hood. Looks like I can drop the recesses about 3" in the center and 2.5" at the ends. This increases my heat exhaust area from about 12"^2 (I cut the stock opening larger) to about 112"^2.

I like the clear on the white. I just thought it would look different and nice. plus, it still is "reflective" and meets the DOT standards.

It was simple once I got the right tool for the job. I didn't even have to jack it up or remove the tires. I got one of the little flat bit tool sets like this:

Fronts are easy. It's the rear that are a bitch. More so if you have the GM splash guards.

Dropped it off at the dealer to have them take a look at what I believe is the all too common torque converter issue. Drove the car to work yesterday and got the rumble strip vibration when in 8th gear at 70 mph.
Dealer thinks it will need a converter and possibly a transmission. For those that are counting. I have 1,270 miles on the car. |
