Ouch. Depends on how good you want it to look, I would try touch-up paint and buffing first, as it's cheap and takes you 80% of the way. If you want a professional quality fix (that is indistinguishable from the OEM paint), you may be better off buying a new mirror assembly ($200-ish), get it painted and swap the glass in from yours.

Here's my DIY to replace outside mirror when mine got knocked off.
