I think motor is blown

Well I think it's done, added a Procharger@8psi,lt4 fueling,Jms booster ect. Data logging 4th gear to 6800 rpm and the front crank seal blew oil all over the place, huge smoke cloud down the highway. Replaced front crank seal, now when I remove the oil fill cap i can see smoke and feel crank pressure at idle. Going to do a compression test this week, but my guess is Probably ring land gone. What's your thoughts?

Seems the front seal is like that thingie in the Thanksgiving turkey.

When it pops out, you're done!

Sorry for the loss...

What octane fuel were you running?

Sorry to hear it… 93 octane just doesn’t give you a lot of wiggle room for tuning errors on a stock LT1 short block. Hopefully you can just do some drop-in pistons and rods from GPI and be back in business. I’d go for the one point lower compression setup IMO… just my 2 cents.

Sorry to hear about your motor, looks like you drew the short straw As you said, though, there is a way to turn this into lemonade (just check my signature, heh)

Brings back memories of cold dense air and 8.5 lbs turbo'd on 93. Same result. What Josh said, however GPI is backordered on those currently. I'm waiting as well. Really, really sorry!

Would a good tune on E60 instead of 93 oct have prevented this?

Possibly...... I think I had about a gallon of e-85 mixed with it from before adding the procharger bringing it to 10%,but obviously not enough We had adjusted the tune with my tuner couple times before going high rpms.

This is extremely concerning, I have an ecs kit ready to bolt on with 2" catless longtubes. Only looking for 8 lbs sbe with full lt4 fuel system, flex fuel e60. Really starting to feel like a roll of the dice.

I knew it was a roll of the dice, maybe I'm jumping the gun before doing a compression test, but when I see blow by out the oil filler it probably means the motor is coming out
