JDP Motorsports completed the install and tuning hours before we pulled out for Pikes Peak to represent Detroit Speed in the Optima Batteries, Search for the Ultimate Street Car. See what happens when you take a completely untested new set-up out to a big event, below.

I think that you did well especially with a new untested setup. Congrats.

I had no idea that the Optima race was going on here.

I appreciate that! Thank you! I had fun running the autocross before we decided to shut her down until we could resolve the boost leak. I'll be out again testing very soon. What time I did get to spend in her was a LOT of fun.

I did AGP TTs on my 5th gen 1LE @ 10-11 pounds. It was fun but not a good plan for a M6 at the drag strip. On a road course it works better as you can keep it on the boil. A key point in the tune is avoiding a steep power jump and smoothing out the curve. That makes the back of the car want to change places with the front.

I did not have that smooth curve and the TT 1LE ended up shiny side down. It was a Mustang driver of course. He was fine. He still owes me. LOL
