Zl1 big gulp help

Need some help from anyone with a Zl1 big gulp. The one I got is for an ss with lt4 so it hits the hood in a certain spot. Looking to see if anyone would be able to possibly get me some measurements so I can "trim" it to fit properly. Would appreciate it very much, these are just the various ones I took for reference. Shoot me a pm if you don't mind, thanks

Put a wad of aluminum foil on top, close the hood, and it should give you some idea of how much to cut and where.

If my car was close by I would measure it. But I don’t have access at the moment. Hopefully someone can step up and grab a couple measurements.

Right on Tim, was hoping I could find somebody while you were away. Would appreciate whoever could help. Have a preliminary trim line as can be seen in the picture, just want to dial it closer. Been trying to scale off a picture I have from the correct box, also can see where it hits on the hood already so I have a good idea what needs to be cut. Would rather cut just enough instead of too much

Apply silly putty (any toy store) to edge of air box and close hood. This will show where you need to trim.

Why not just get the one that is made for the ZL1 unless you got this one on the cheap. Is there any other difference besides the height?

Yes the under hood of the ZL1 is different than the under hood of the SS so that’s the reason the airbox has to be trimmed/cut to fit a ZL1.

Don't believe so other than the top shape. The company won't ship a box to my address so hacking up the one I have is the route I'm going. Just looking for a little help, maybe five minutes worth of time. If no one is willing I'll wait for Tim, no worries
