I’m disappointed they really haven’t done anything to increase ZL1 horsepower from factory.

Honestly, there wasn't a need to really boost the ZL1s power. It is a track oriented car and the 1LE makes it even more of a track weapon.

Yes the GT500 has more power but it's barely faster. The Porsche cars aren't able to handle the ZL1 either.

While another 50 BHP would be nice, it's just not needed.

Really? Every car I've ever owned usually only needed at least one thing...another 100 hp!

Welcome back Sledgehammer70 and thanks for making quality
Camaro related content.

I have to admit watching your YouTube video got me pretty excited, and I’m
waiting to see what Chevy will put forward for the last years of the ICE Camaro.

For me it is fairly easy moving forward. If there will be a ZL1 1LE
with an LT5 motor I will buy it.
If not the world keeps spinning, and I am super happy with
my analog cars in the garage.

I kind of disagree that it does not need more power. Stock-vs-stock, the 911 GT3/RS PDK is faster than ZL1 1LE both on the straight and out of the corners (due to superior grip being rear-engined). GT500 is also faster on the straight line than the Camaro. The ZLE compensates somehow by catching up in tight technical turns with superior mechanical grip due to factory coil over setup and great stock 3R tires. However extra 50-80 hp would really help keep up with the other two on the straight, so 700 or 720 hp would be perfect!

Unfortunately, even if they do actually make it, given that it really is a very limited edition due to the discontinuing of the LT-5 engine, anyone who wants one is going to be in a very expensive and bruising dog fight to get his hands on one.

Did anyone read news about GM warning dealers not to do markups on the new Z06? Or otherwise they will loose allocations on those cars. This makes sense to me, hopefully there is some action behind words. I was considering C8 before getting a ZLE at the end of 2021. I just could not justify the crazy markups and crossed it out of my options list.
