Anyone running 315/35/20 tires in the rear?

Just like the title says is anyone using 315/35/20 tires in rear? I plan on modding my ZL1 soon and it should be over 700rwhp. I would like to use 315/35-20 NITTO NT05R but I’m not sure if going with a taller tire will cause any issues.

I ran the 305-35-20 et street and didn't like them much. They rubbed but not enough to cause issues as long as you relocate the wiring harness. I switched to the r888r 315-30-20 and I'm much happier with how they perform.

I definitely don’t want any rubbing and the r888r’s were my second option. I’m not looking for tires that can handle a dig run but somethings that can handle 30 or 40mph roll. Thank you for the reply!

Rub a bub

Was going to install Nitto Motivos on the car all the way round. I tried to install this size tire on my car, and they were going to rub on the inner well area, especially if you went over something causing the suspension to give. I had them mounted on the stock rims, and you couldnt put your fingers, between the inner well , and the tire they were just too big.

No problem. I would highly recommend the r888r then. It is an excellent tire and I have had great luck with them. They hook much better than stock.

I've heard they are pretty noisy tires, comments?

Yes that is one downside they do have a hum noise to them at higher speeds. I got used to it tho.

what brand are you running in the front. I wondered since stock tires are such a stiff side wall that the r888r aren't as stiff that the car would get squirrely after you get rolling. I had this problem in my c6.

I'm running stock tires on the front. Probably will go to r888s all the way around when those are worn out. I did have that problem with I ran et streets with stock fronts but not nearly as bad on the r888s. That's actually part of the reason I got rid of the et streets.

Those are definitely not going to work. That's a 28.7 diameter.

I tried my old 5th Gen DRs (305/45-18) that were 28.8 diameter and it wasn't even close to fitting.

I didn't even let it down off the jack as it was already rubbing the fender well. These 20" are tough to find the right tires at 27".

Tried 315/35/20 DWS 06 - rubbed. Anyone find an all season in 305/30/20?

The BFG Comp A/S 2 in 305/35/30 is about as close as you're going to get and fits from what others are saying that have ran them. They don't have a stock from size so you have to go down to a 275/35/20 front to match.
