wow, so far I've found Camaro's that have done it for hitting small curbs on track, drifting and having exhaust cutouts or loud exhaust

The airbag in the seat did not deploy, I don't think there is any damage there. The seatbelt is locked, so I don't know what that takes to fix. I'm dropping it off at the dealer on Tuesday, and we'll see what they say.

Then it does not have one for ZL1 w/ Recaro’s or SS w/ Recaro option. By law there has to be a label on the seat area where the SRS is & it appears the Recaros seats do not have airbag’s.

Better than dying brother. One letter to GM‘s legal department and they will absolutely pay for it. It’s on video

At all the track days at Road America everyone is warned to try to stay off the corner rumble strips as they are big enough to set off airbags. Always thought that was kinda BS. Well now we know that its not BS!

It's going to need all new seatbelts and a SDM when that happens.

From looks of the video, you went on rumble strip and off (towards dirt/grass).. check control arm, I bet it bottomed out. Ruts/drop off on rumble strips is good enough season to stay off of them unless its your hobby/job to use every inch of track consequences be damned.

Reason for one hand ?

Because the pre-tensioners fired on all the belts? That does sound plausible. Ugh. $$

RSFR -- if you're willing to share, I'd like to know what it ends up costing to fix it all.

If I was in that situation, I'd be expecting GM to warranty this under their 'Track Warranty' claim.

I'd be checking into this too! Scary stuff though. Looks like you were driving the stuff out of it until that happened. Sorry this happened, but sure looks like fun right up until then!

I've hit the curbs waaaayyyy harder than that before with no issues. It seems to be the combo of the curb and yaw angle.

I doubt GM will want to cover it, even with the "track warranty", but we'll see what they say.

No disrespect but you're all over the track.

You appear to be getting the car out of control to hit the rumble strips? You need to leave yourself some some room you're not competitively racing and you're up on top of them most of the time. You're lucky you didn't drop a tire into the grass and put that car on it's roof.

I'm not trying to bash you simply giving you a bit of warning it can happen quickly and I've seen it happen.

Are you leaving traction control on? I bet the ECU is freaking out hitting those rumble strips that hard with you jerking the wheel.
