Somehow I think I would have preferred this. I think the charger looks good. This ... I don't even know where to start - the Flowtie is out of place and should be on the top grill, the rear lights are horrible, and I think I prefer the nostrils to this hood vent. Maybe it just all looks like this in photos but I think I just made my mind up to pick a SS 1LE now and not wait for this.

+1

I think this photoshop fixes the redesign.

I prefer refreshes that retain the majority of the design, but make nip and tuck changes to show an evolution rather than a revolution in the design. The germans have been historically great at that on the more iconic vehicles. I wish Chevrolet had followed that, but with sales the way they are i imagine they chose to make a louder statement.

Has nothing to do with having *outdated* any everything to do with being fugly. IMO.

They are running the flowtie idea into the ground.

I LOVE the new look, it looks so futuristic! It looks just like the Transformers Camaro! The rear lights are awesome and the front fascia really stands out like never before! Yes, they could have put the flowtie on the front SS grill instead of the actual bumper but the bowtie really pops out where they decided to put it! I think its funny that every refresh GM releases every couple years, the TRUE Camaro fans SHRED the car to pieces! The Mustang guys do the same thing to their beloved pony car, so we aren't any better! I'm sure the design engineers that work for GM and Ford really don't care what the TRUE fans think, because they know whatever they come up with it's going to be met with vicious criticism! I'm sure GM isn't losing any sleep over the new refresh, it will sell very good.

I ordered my 2018 1LE in January. I knew the refresh was coming. I assumed that the most recent Bumblebee was an example of the upcoming design changes. That look never took hold for me so I'm very happy today.

The front end is ugly, plain and simple. The rear I could probably live with but holy hell that front end looks like garbage, the headlights are all wrong...all of it is wrong.

I agree.

But I've always thought the black wrapped hood on 1LE's looked like garbage.

Yet there are people that love that "parts car" look. There will be plenty of people that like the new black SS bumper.

Completely disagree. Best looking Mustang since the original.

Scrolling through comments on articles about it and on facebook, it does seem the overwhelming early opinion is pretty bad, with a handful of loved it in there.
